The Xayaburi Hydroelectric Power Project is planned to generate 1,285 MW of electricity, of which 1,220 MW will be sold to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand and approximately 60 MW will be sold to the Electricité du Laos. It is slated for commercial operation in January 2019.

 

GFE was entrusted with the installation and monitoring of the instrumentation for the monitoring of the structural behavior of the powerhouse, intermediate block, spillway and navigation lock, and the permanent excavation slopes, in order to prevent any structural damage due to abnormalities.
